Power Vinyasa
What is Power VInyasa?
Power vinyasa asana yoga is a high-intensity yoga style that emphasizes flowing breath to movement. It involves challenging poses aimed at building strength, along with smooth transitions between poses. You will go through poses with small pauses and then flow them connecting them with your breath.
Restorative/ Yin
What is Yin/Restorative Yoga?
Restorative/yin yoga is a gentle and introspective style that focuses on relaxation and deep stretching. It involves holding passive poses for an extended period, typically several minutes, to target the connective tissues and promote flexibility and release tension. This is a practice made for promoting mindfulness, and introspection. Calming the mind and bringing peaceful awareness to your body
What My Flows Look Like
My flows are a mix of vinyasa and yin/restorative yoga. I believe in accessibility. My main goal is to help facilitate the strengthening of your mindbody connection. Yoga is not about "being" anything , but yourself. The four corners of your mat are there to support your expression, curiosity and exploration of your body.
We will always begin rooting ourselves to our breath and body, moving slowly getting prepared for the practice. We'll set our intention and begin flowing and holding poses that challenge us to stay in the present moment. We will end class in restorative poses with me guiding you with my voice tying our theme together to conclude in a body scan meditation in savasana. I will play my ocean drum to bring you and your body into total relaxation to reap the benefits of your practice.
